A shy young man and a man who knows how to take it should revolutionize the fashion world. It’s the year 1957 …

… and just 21-year-old Yves Saint Laurent is the right hand of the fashion designer Christian Dior. When he dies unexpectedly, is the artistic director of Yves one of the most prestigious fashion brands in the world.

His first collection, expected from the world of high fashion with great skepticism, is for the young, brilliant fashion designer to a triumphant success. ..

… and makes him world-famous overnight.

During a fashion show of the Yves Saint Laurent shy meets Pierre Bergé, an encounter that will change his life from the ground up .

The two are living and business partners and not form three years later under enormous risk their own, legendary fashion label “Yves Saint Laurent”.

But Yves’ creativity takes over the years self-destructive traits, which could jeopardize both his relationship with Pierre, the love of his life, as well as the future of his company.

Despite his struggles it Yves Saint Laurent, however, manages to revolutionize the world of fashion forever …

… and he will

to one of the greatest, most innovative and influential fashion designers of all time.

The film is very one on the relationship between the two men and on what private struggles they had to perform over the decades with himself and the others. Almost amazing it that Saint Laurent and Bergé remained a lifetime to the death of the master, a pair.

We learn where Yves (Pierre Niney) comes from, what drives him, and also what start its manic-depressive spirits with him. Pierre Bergé (Guillaume Gallienne) is and will be away from him, while a prop, …

… and also his muse Victoire (Charlotte LeBon), is an indispensable part of his young life, until he made his violates life, because so much Yves and Pierre love each other …

… Victoire is the reason that a wedge is driven into the otherwise symbiotic relationship between the two artists.

The film shines with fascinating pictures, very handsome man, and not glamorized scenes from the lives of the two men.

Yves, who is attracted to other men also, alcohol and drugs, …

… and the parties (including Loulou de la Falaise and with Karl Lagerfeld, played by Nikolai Kinski, r.) celebrates as they fall, risked his life change much …

… and the final result is yet again like a stand-up men on the earth. The appearance of the young Pierre Niney, shooting star of French cinema and theater and the youngest member of the Academie Francaise, is wonderful.

The man who tailored the Women Ladies tuxedo on the body, was a genius, and that every woman wants to have at least one part in their life, on which stand the three letters “YSL” is to better understand after this film.

Director Jaslil Lespert has a lot of empathy with the “typically French” . charming, chic, luxury and style captured the Yves Saint Laurent used mainly in the 60s and 70s

art, zeitgeist and elegance have combined into a brand that is still valid today – could all the power struggles for Muses, leadership and quirks not prevent it.

“Yves Saint Laurent” is also something for not quite as fashion-conscious people, for love, jealousy, power and beauty care but actually everyone. As of April 17, 2014 in the cinema. (Soe)
