Boston. (Dpa) -. Started with a minuto Silence and ended with a euphoric celebration. Un year after the attack , joy returned to Boston Marathon , the oldest in the world. One million people took to the streets to follow the race, accompanied by a sparkling spring blue sky, sunshine and temperatures around 12 degrees.

The coronation was the victory in the men of Meb Keflezighi , the first by an American since 1983. “No one could have written a better script for this day,” said the director of the traditional race, Dave McGillivray, at the finish line, where on April 15 2013 panicked by explosions of two bombs that killed three people and injured 264. The place of tragedy today became the street of feelings. When the awards ceremony rang anthem of the United States, not only wept Keflezighi. “USA, USA” was heard continuously in the streets of Boston. Many fans flocked to cheer this year with country flags and T-shirts with the legend “Boston Strong” (Boston Strong) , which has become the motto of the recovery and Union City. The number of people gathered along the 42,195 kilometers of the race from the start in the neighborhood of Hopkinton to the finish on Boylston Street was not only twice last year in Patriot’s Day holiday in the state- Massachusetts, but also shouted extremely high. “The fans have pushed me over the last five kilometers. They were a big help,” Keflezighi said. “I’ve never enjoyed much of a race,” said American Shalane Flanagan, seventh in the female category. “It’s my twenty-seventh marathon in Boston, but had never experienced such an atmosphere was incredible,” McGillivray said. The President of the United States, Barack Obama, tweeted from the White House: “All running should know that we encourage, but we are not there with them.” A total of 35,755 athletes took the start, the second largest share in the history of the traditional test, and many of them did so for a good cause. Nurses Massachusetts General Hospital, for example, ran in honor of the many wounded who attended a little over a year. Others ran with a yellow shirt with the inscription “MR8″ initials eight year old Richard Martin, the youngest of the three victims of the attack on April 15, 2013. Though the number of agents has doubled to 3,500, the helicopters flew over the city center and the police in their yellow jackets were visible all the way, the presence of security and nothing contained it was intimidating.

Hence the goal area out more holiday celebration and a reinforced high security area.
